Making Friends and Networking

You remember the old statement, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” That still holds true today. Developing relationships is one of the most important things we do. We all need friends, community, and people who love us, care for us, and want the best for us.

This week’s podcast considers how we best learn to engage others or as we call it today, “networking.”

Keys to networking:

1.     Authentic relationships

  • Authenticity is one of the most highly valued aspects of a relationship. People are looking for authentic friends and relationships.

2.     Bring value to the relationship.

  • “How can I help you?” is one of the most important questions you can ask. You can never go wrong looking for ways to make a difference in someone else’s life.

Be a friend. It’s one of the best choices you can make.
