The Beginning
Several years ago, I stepped out of church work of my own volition. I wasn’t forced, coerced, or required to step out of church leadership. I simply knew that my time was done. I had reached a place where my ability to serve was being limited to simply how others saw the church and the kingdom. I must confess that stepping out was more difficult than I thought it would be. In many ways my identity and career were tied to this group of people.
Yet, three years later I find myself not only working in a full-time capacity with a great organization (OneWorld Health), but I’m venturing out to serve others in ways that I hope will bring life changing impact for others. I will continue to work with OneWorld Health (oneworldhealth.com) but believe that it is important to serve at home as well.
What is it?
Today, I’m launching Collision Leadership. Simply put, it is my attempt and desire to continue the work of shaping lives, walking with others, and helping others to live their best. We all need those who will journey with us, listen as we think through the difficult issues, speak truth into our lives, and see the very best in us. Those relationships are not common, but they are needed.
With that said the focus will be leadership development, organizational team building, and philanthropic programming. These areas are a culmination of educational focus, years of experience, and personal growth. I have spent more time than I know reading, studying, and living into these things and I want to share them with others.
As well, my heart continues to go out to pastors who know transition is necessary but have no real idea of the best way out. An additional component will serve as my ministry to those who most often need the guidance and direction of someone who’s found life beyond their calling. It is not easy to locate your career, calling, and vocation in something new, but it can be done.
Next Steps
As we initiate this dream, you will begin to see more info about Collision Leadership. You’ll see more blogs, social media engagement, retreats, and even a podcast. Our hope is that you will share the dream with us. If you know someone that we can assist, please pass our name along. I have always believed that we are called to make a difference wherever life finds us. Today that opportunity begins again.
Thanks,
Scott
